An herbal tincture meant for boosting the immune system of the body, which was developed in the republic of Bulgaria over 30 years ago, has been launched in Lagos.
Presenting the product to the public in Lagos, Mr. Chuma Oguine, project consultant to Enyobi Nigeria Limited, said renowned Bulgarian chemical engineer, Nikola Hlebarov, developed the product.
According to Oguine, the product has been employed in so many countries all over the world including some African countries in the treatment and prophylaxis of so many kinds of diseases.
He said Elixir-9 was suitable for HIV-related diseases, tuberculosis and it could also be relied upon as an immune booster, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents.
It is important to note that some problems associated with other pharmaceutical and chemical therapeutic agents like toxicity, allergy, mutagenity and resistance are absent in Elixir-9. It can be administrated medically and simultaneously with chemical drugs to the patient by the general practitioner

Oguine said further that Elixir-9 is a novel-high tech product composing of several medicinal plants indicative for the treatment and prevention of bacterial and viral diseases of various severity and degree.
The pharmacist disclosed that the product has been registered in Nigeria with the National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
He said further that Elixirs are water-ethanol extractions from different combinations of herbs, which have a positive effect upon the functions and structures of the organ.
He added that the ingredients stimulate the organ and activate the health potentials that are present in the body.
It is recommended for the stimulation of immune system of the organ and increases the protective forces of the human body against disease infections

With regards of dosage, he said one tablespoonful of Elixir-9 be dissolved in a 200-250ml glass of water two to three times daily.
He added that depending on the severity of the ailment, the dosage might be increased to four to six times daily and for a maximum and effective therapeutic cure; a dosage regime of up to three months was needed.
Also speaking in his welcome address, Mr. Obinna Nwamerue, chairman of the company, who went to school in Bulgaria, noted that he would ensure that he floods the market with the product at affordable prices.
He said it was his wish that all Nigerians benefited from the drug for many ailments.
Mr. Emeka Nwamerue, managing director of the company added that they would take steps to ensure that Elixir-9 was not adulterated in the country.
He said chronic suffers of various ailments should have a sigh of relief with the launch of the product in the country, which he promised would be aggressively marketed.
A former Miss Nigeria in 1965, who had used the product since approved by NAFDAC, publicly testified at the launch that she had witnessed extensive relief from all her disease conditions since she started using it.
